When I was a impressionable dork of only 13 years old, my friend Anthony Manzinelli Told me about this funny comedian he’d seen on HBO, then  we went to his house and watched a grainy VHS take of the “Carlin at Carnegie” special. I’d never heard anything as funny as that before.
I spent years collecting all his other albums and tapes, and listened to them constantly for years. My ipod still has some of his prime albums in rotation, and I just recently got myself a copy of his forgotten TV sitcom.
Though his comedy the last few years seems to have become less comedy and more “old man ranting”, in the 80s, George was pure genius.
Thanks for the laughs, George.
